Library & Community Programs
Programs serve children, teens, adults, seniors, and intergenerational audiences at libraries, community centers, camps, Scout groups, nonprofits, and cultural organizations.
Each session combines looking, conversation, exploration, and artmaking. Participants spend time with works of art, talk about what they notice, and then work with materials themselves.
Programs can respond to museum collections, individual artists, literature, culture, history, community, heritage months, seasonal themes, and summer reading themes.

Artists, Collections & Cultural Traditions
Participants look closely at works from a range of cultures and periods, discuss what they notice, and respond in the studio with materials and approaches connected to what they have seen.

Brush, Ink & Character
Inquiry-based discussion and close looking at Chinese paintings and calligraphy, including Chinese characters and brushwork, followed by an introduction to brush technique with bamboo brushes, ink, and rice paper.

From Books to Artmaking
A book and a work of art are read alongside one another. Participants talk about image, narrative, and voice, then make work that continues or reimagines the story.

How Artists Think and Work
A close look at one artist’s practice — their questions, materials, and decisions — and a studio session in which participants take up a related problem in their own way.

Art for Adults & Seniors
Unhurried looking and conversation with works of art, followed by artmaking. Designed for experienced and first-time makers alike, with an emphasis on discussion, memory, and exchange.

Collaborative Making
An open studio built around a shared theme — community, place, heritage, or a season — where participants of different ages contribute to individual and collective works.
